We believe social media should be safe for everyone. Here's how we protect our community.

Our commitment: Every report is reviewed by a human within 24 hours. We don't use AI-only moderation — real people make real decisions, with full context.

What's not allowed

xNotify has zero tolerance for content and behavior that harms people. This includes:

Violence & threats — Threats of physical harm, glorification of violence, or terrorist content
Harassment & bullying — Targeted harassment, dogpiling, doxxing, or repeated unwanted contact
Hate speech — Attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
CSAM — Any sexual content involving minors. Reported to NCMEC immediately
Non-consensual intimate imagery — Sharing sexual content without the subject's consent
Spam & manipulation — Fake accounts, coordinated inauthentic behavior, engagement manipulation
Scams & fraud — Phishing, financial scams, impersonation for deceptive purposes

How to report

On-platform

Tap ··· on any post, profile, or DM → "Report." Select a reason. Our team reviews within 24 hours.

Email

Send details to safety@xnotify.io. Include screenshots and URLs when possible.

Emergency

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then report to us.

Your safety tools

Block — Blocked users can't see your profile, posts, or send you DMs
Mute — Hide someone's posts from your feed without unfollowing
Word filters — Automatically hide posts containing specific words or phrases
DM controls — Choose who can message you: everyone, followers, or no one
Protected account — Only approved followers can see your posts
Two-factor authentication — TOTP-based 2FA to secure your account

Enforcement

When content violates our rules, we take action proportional to the severity:

Content removal — The violating post or media is removed
Warning — The user receives an explanation of the violation
Temporary suspension — Account restricted for 24 hours to 30 days
Permanent ban — Account permanently removed for severe or repeated violations

All enforcement actions can be appealed. Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the one who made the original decision.

Transparency

We publish quarterly transparency reports covering content removals, government requests, and enforcement actions. Accountability matters — we hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of our users.
